Licuala grandis, the ruffled fan palm, Vanuatu fan palm or Palas palm, is a species of palm tree in the family Arecaceae, native to Vanuatu, an island nation in the Pacific. Native to the Vanuatu Islands, off the coast of Australia
Water / Humidity: Licuala grandis isn’t overly finicky about humidity or water. Allow the surface of the soil to dry out before watering thoroughly again. Plan for more frequent misting than watering (2-3 times per week misting)
Light: This is a plant you can place in either indirect or low light — it’ll do just fine in either light environment, though will grow very slowly. Bright indirect light is best, but keep yours out of direct full sun, which can scorch its leaves
Soil / Nutrients: Well draining soil and apply a few drops of general houseplant fertilizer to the soil once a month from spring to summer, following the package instructions for dilution and administration
Temperature: Between 10 to 27°C indoors is ideal
