General Informations
The Muchamiel tomato is a traditional, Spanish beefsteak tomato with a name meaning “much honey”. The plants are very high yielding and disease-resistant. They develop very firm, very large (up to 1000 grams), fleshy and juicy fruits. The tomatoes are slightly ribbed, and when ripe can also have green streaks or a green back. White externally they are not especially beautiful, their flavour has it all: they are intensely flavourful with a balanced sweetness and sourness, and a fruity note. In southern Spain they are enjoyed sliced with some sea salt and olive oil.
