Elaeocarpus hygrophilus is a species of plant in the Elaeocarpaceae family. It is distributed in Southeast Asia. The tree is 10–25 meters tall. The fruits are olive-like. The fruits are used as foods in some Southeast Asian countries. Unrelated to the common olive, this species has green to yellow fruits that look a bit like olive fruits and are used in a variety of prepared dishes in southeast Asian cuisine. Native to southeast Asia. Shrubby, small to medium sized tree up to 40 ft / 13 m. The species is cultivated on a small scale
گل دامن فرشته یا زیتون وحشی گرمسیری گونه ای درختچه گلدار و میوه دار است
گل های بسیار زیبا هستند و جنبه تزیینی دارند
میوه ها در مناطق گرمسیری به نام زیتون وحشی شناخته میشوند گرچه این گیاه هیچ ارتباطی با زیتون ایرانی ندارد

بذر این گیاه برای اولین بار در ایران توسط تیم بانک بذر جنوب معرفی و عرضه میشود
