Ptychosperma lineare
This clustering palm is endemic to eastern Papua New Guinea. Leaves have narrow linear leaflets (thus the name) with jagged tips that are pinnately arranged. It grows to 50 ft. with 2-3 inch stems and 2 foot crownshafts. Its black fruits contrast with the reddish orange color of its infructescence branches

این گونه از نخل خویشاوند نزدیک نخل مک آرتور است و بسیار کمیاب است
این نخل به صورت خطی رو به بالا رشد میکند و شاخه های فرعی از ریشه بیرون آمده و همراه شاخه اصلی رو به بالا رشد میکنند
